We will replace any CastAway Rod found to be defective in materials or workmanship for up to two (2) years from the date of purchase to the original owner. Original purchaser MUST register each individual rod in order for the warranty to be in effect. When registering your CastAway Rod, original purchaser MUST complete the warranty registration in whole and upload a copy of the sales receipt in order for the warranty to be in effect.  

If the recommended line rating is exceeded, the warranty is null and void. If CastAway deems that the rod was broken, destroyed or malfunctioned due to owner misuse such as, high sticking, boat flipping, line being caught on underwater debris, structure or natural elements (i.e. trees, stumps, oyster beds), rod being stepped on, crushed or hit, etc., CastAway Rods will not warranty the rod but may offer a courtesy discount on a replacement rod.  Afterall, customer satisfaction is our top priority! 

To start a warranty claim, please visit to complete an informational questionnaire and request a RMA (return merchandise authorization). The CastAway Warranty Department will then reach out to you within 48 hours (not including weekends or holidays). 

All CastAway Rods requiring warranty service are to be shipped prepaid, insured, along with $35.00 (processing/handling fee) to the CastAway Rods warranty center at the following address:
